Don’t be an Internet ‘phishing’ victim
While many scams masquerade themselves as bank inquiries requesting account and personal information, another scam has been on the rise. Phishing e-mails requesting username and password data to prevent an account suspension/ verification or due to upgrades, and masquerading as if they were sent from Nex-tech, have circulated this past month.
We, at Nex-Tech, continue to take action to prevent these types of scams from delivering to your Inbox. However, if you receive such a message, remember that Nex-Tech will never request your personal information via e-mail.
If you would like to inform us of these scams as they start, you can forward samples to spam@ruraltel.net. Otherwise, delete them. If you have replied to such a message and are concerned about your account information please contact our Internet Help Desk at 888-565-3200 for further assistance.
